The Barcelona Pavilion.

The Barcelona Pavilion, symbolic work of the Modern Movement, has been studied and interpreted comprehensively, at the same time as it has inspired the work of several generations of architects. It was designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886-1969) as the national pavilion of Germany for the International Exhibition of Barcelona in 1929. Built with glass, steel and different marble classes, the Pavilion was designed to house the official reception presided over by king Alfonso XIII next to the German authorities.
